Spirited Snowmen simple stamping(last chance)

Happy Sunday. There is only 2 more days to order from the Holiday catalog. My favorite from this catalog is Spirited Snowmen. This stamp set is not just for Christmas. Birthday, New Years, and Valentine’s Day are other ways I have used this set.

For this first card I made a Birthday card. I used the simple stamping technique. This uses stamp, ink and paper (SIP). Materials used:
Cherry cobbler cardstock for the card base. Cut at 51/2 then fold in half
4x51/4 piece of DSP for the mat
Memento ink

This second card also uses the simple stamping technique. Materials used:
Petal pink cardstock for the card base.
Whisper White for the front mat. I used the new rectangle Thinlits to cut it out.

Scrap of Whisper White for the second layer. Cut as shown. Stamp the Snowmen on this piece.
Memento ink

Blends of your choice to color on the Snowmen

Merry Christmas

Have a Merry Christmas. Will have a new post soon. Like some of you I have family visiting. Have had to put somethings up so the little one can’t get into to them. Animal Expedition and January Paper Pumpkin

January Paper Pumpkin coordinates with Animal Expedition suite in the annual catalog. The stamp set in this suite can be used for many types of cards. Here are 2 simple cards I made .
This first one would be great for Valentines Day. You just need a card base and ink.
This second card is simple also but I have added some DSP from the suite.

Gift Card Holder/ Card

This is a card and gift card holder in one. It is very simple to make.
Materials I used:
Cherry cobbler cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 11.

DSP All is Bright from Holiday catalog (available til January 2) cut at 2 3/4 x 4
Whisper White 4x5 1/4
Scrap of Whisper White for label
Merry Merlot stamp pad
Peaceful Noel stamp set from Holiday catalog (available til January 2)

Directions:
1. Score cherry cobbler cardstock @2 1/2 and 5 1/2

2. Stamp sentiment on label and piece of Whisper White using Peacful Noel stamp set
3. Glue short side to make pocket

4. Then glue DSP and Whisper White

5. Glue label to flap. Only put glue on part of it .

Wrapping up Christmas/ diaper fold

Hope your having a great weekend. Can’t believe Christmas is almost here. Did some shopping today Stores are getting crowded. I don’t know about you but I have a hard time finding gifts for daughter and grand kids now that they are older. That’s where gift cards come in handy. I like putting them in a

cute holder. This first holder Is called the diaper fold.

Supplies:
6x6 piece of DSP
Label punch
Stamp with sentiment you want to use
Twine

Directions:
1. Fold paper as shown here.

2.Fold top part of triangle down

3 Fold the sides in

4 Make a label to put on the front

5 Leave as is and put in stocking or punch hole in top . Attach twine and hang on the tree.

Paper Pumpkin and Animal Outing

Wow I can’t believe how fast December is going. It’s already Wednesday and I haven’t posted a blog.  Been busy with Christmas and classes. How about you? I think most have finished with cards and could use some ideas for packaging and stocking stuffers. Starting Friday I will post some ideas for wrapping up Christmas.

Still Night Bundle

Finally got a chance to play with this bundle. Love owls and this set can be used for any season or occasion. For this card I blended old with the new.
Materials:
Card base- Balmy Blue cardstock 41/4 x 11 fold @5 1/2
Card mat - Whisper White 4 x 5 1/4
Scrap of brown for tree and owl
Piece of Copper Glimmer paper for owl
Mossy Meadow ink
Shape thinlit of your choice. I used the one from blended seasons now retired.







Pine trees from stamp set Rooted in Nature from annual catalog.



Directions
1. From Balmy blue cardstock make the card base.

2. Cut shape out of center of Whisper White card stock

3. Stamp trees on the shape cut out from the white paper. I did this by stamping off to give the illusion of more trees.

4. Using your die cut machine cut out the tree branch and the owl(copper paper)

5. Glue owl to scrap of brown and then fussy cut around
6. Glue tree paper to center of paper then using dimensionals line up other white paper on top of this.

7. Using glue dots glue the branch then the owl. Finish with a sentiment. There are 2 nice ones in the stamp set.

Stampin Up Retiring product

Have had the flu the past few days and just now getting back on the computer. Just want to let you know Stampin Up is having their year sale on retiring product. If there is something you have contemplated on getting now is the time. Once they’re gone they’re gone.

Craft fairs

Busy weekend for me. 2 days of craft fairs. Today is local Christmas tree lighting and craft fair . Tomorrow I go to another local craft fair. Hope you have a great weekend. Will try to get new post up on Sunday evening.

Spirited Snowmen Update

Yesterday I showed how to make a simple beautiful card with just one stamp set. In today’s card I added other materials to change it up. I used Festive Farmhouse DSP from the Holiday catalog , Pretty Pines Framelits  (annual catalog) and a shape thinlet I have that’s retired.
Materials:
Whisper White cardstock cut at51/2 fold in half this will make two card bases.
4 x 5 1/4 piece of Festive Farmhouse DSP for mat

Scrap of red and green for bow and pine
animal stamp of your choice( I used a dachshund I had also Ready for Christmas has a cute dog)
Water color pencils
Shape Framelits to stamp image on

Have fun with what you have and use your imagination. There is no wrong way.

Spirited Snowmen simple stamping

I remember when I first started making cards I had the basics. Cardstock, stamps and paper. One can make amazing cards with just these three things. I’ve been stamping about 20 years now and have collected a lot of craft supplies through the years. Sometimes it’s nice just to use the basics. You can make this card using these supplies:
 Whisper white cardstock
Memento ink
Balmy Blue ink
Spirited Snowmen stamp set

Directions:
Cut whisper white at 51/2 fold in half. This will make 2 Card bases.
Stamp snowman image using memento ink
Using snowflake image ink up in balmy blue then stamp off twice before stamping on card
Stamp greeting inside, decorate with more snowflakes


Note- stamping off means you ink the stamp then stamp on scratch paper before stamping on card base.
Tomorrow I’ll show another version of this card using additional products.

Spirited Snowmen simple stamping

I love snowmen and the snowmen in this stamp set are adorable. You can make simple cute cards with this set. The card on the right all I used was this set, ink and paper. For the card I made a card from whisper white. I then used balmy blue ink on a napkin to make the background. I then stamped the snowman image and sentiment in memento black. For the card on the left I stepped it up a little by using a DSP mat. The card I made using cherry cobbler cardstock. I then cut a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of All is Bright DSP to mat on top. I stamped the snowman and sentiment with memento black on the DSP.
There are many ways to use stamp sets to make simple cards. Find a stamp set you like, cardstock, ink and perhaps some DSP to make your cards. Falling for Leaves

Welcome to my blog. Although I’ve been busy getting ready for holiday craft fairs I still love making fall cards. Fall is my favorite time of the year and the Falling for Leaves bundle in the holiday catalog makes beautiful cards. For the above card I used Nature’s Poem DSP from the annual catalog.

Materials used:

Card Base- Grapefruit Grove cardstock 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  folded in half
DSP- Natures Poem cut at 5 1/4 x 4
Scraps- Grapefruit Grove and Joyous Noel glimmer paper to die cut leaf
Stamp pad- Merry Merlot

Pencil Holder stocking stuffer/small gift

 Hello. I’m still working on craft fair projects.I got some cute pencils at Michaels the other day and wanted a way to package them . I found a post on stampwithnellie that was perfect.
Materials used:
6x6 piece of DSP ( I used a scrap from All is Bright in the  Holiday Catalog)

Score this at 1 1/2; 3; 4 1/2 inches
Right corner fold to 1st score line
Left topfold to 2nd score line
Left bottom fold to 1st score line

Fold and glue

These could be used for other things than pencils. Emery boards, candy etc. These would make great party favors. You don’t have put 2 . I did because when I got the pencils home I found out that one is a colored pencil and the other is a regular pencil.
