Birds of a Feather/Wrapped in Plaid DSP Christmas treat box

Welcome to my blog. I bought a new treat box die (from The Stamps of Life)and of course had to try it out. I decided it would be great to use with my Stampin Up stamp set Birds of a Feather. I also used  Stampin Up cardstock and theWrapped in Plaid DSP. Here’s how it came out:

I cut the box out using my cuttlebug using Poppy Parade cardstock. Put it together . The layers I cut out using Wrapped in Plaid DSP and glued to the sides. I then die cut a circle out of Whisper White cardstock using Stitched Shape circle die. I stamped the image then colored using Stampin blends.
If you don’t have a treat box die there are some cute box ideas on Pinterest you could use to make a
treat box.
Here are some others I made using other images on the front that I have. I plan on filling them for upcoming craft fairs.

Birds of a Feather/ August Paper Pumpkin

Welcome to my blog. Yesterday I used Painted Harvest to make gift bags from the August Paper Pumpkin. Today with the leftovers from the kit and Birds of a Feather stamp set from the Holiday catalog I made cards. These are 2 I made.

Materials and Directions:
1. Card base - Both use Early Espresso cardstock 4-1/4x 5-1/2
2. Layering pieces on both are 4x 5-1/4 of retired DSP (you can use what you have) glued to the card base.
3. Banners are from the Paper Pumpkin Kit glued on top of the layering piece.
4. Cut circle using the Stitched circle die. Then stamp the turkey image from the Birds of a
 Feather stamp set. Color using what you have. I used Stampin Blends that you can order from my website.. For the card on the left I glued the circle to the banner. Embellished using elements from the kit. Used ribbon from the kit to make the bow. For the card on the right I used the circle from the kit and glued the turkey to it. I also embellished with elements from the kit. I also made a bow using the ribbon.
If you don’t have the kit you could make your own banners using what you have. This is the beauty of Stampin Up in that it can be used with what you have. The Birds of a Feather stamp set is one that can be used for upcoming Holidays. The images are cute. You can order this set from my website.

Painted Harvest gift bags using August Paper Pumpkin

Welcome to my blog. I was glad Painted Harvest stamp set returned in the Annual catalog. It is a very versatile set. I decided to use it to make some Birthday gifts bags for fall birthdays. I used bags and some of the products from the August Paper Pumpkin.

This first bag I made using the white tag from PP kit along with a bag and ribbon. I stamped the flower on the tag using pineapple punch and cajun craze Stampin pads. The sentiment came from another PP kit.

This next bag came about because of a mistake I made.

I tried to stamp the flower directly on the bag.
  I didn’t like the results and not wanting to waste the bag I covered it. I stamped the flowers on 4 x 4-3/4 piece of Whisper White. The colors I used pineapple punch,calypso coral and Cajun craze.  I also stamped some leaves using pear pizzaz. The tag I made using a 3 x1-1/2 inch piece of Whisper White. I stamped using the flower center stamp in pineapple punch. Sentiment is from another PP kit in cajun craze.

Updates/Paper Pumpkin

Welcome to my blog. Guess I haven’t posted since last Monday. With doctor appointment, dentist and vet appointments for my 4 legged kids ,dog classesit was very hectic last week. To top it off had a dog show on Saturday. Here’s a picture of my tired pup.

She did good in obedience and got Novice Trick Dog Title.Didn’t get much time for crafting.

Harvest Hellos doggy Halloween card/ Updates

Welcome to my blog. Another Halloween card using Harvest Hellos. This time I used the new Monster Bash DSP in the Holiday catalog. Love Stampin Up but also love my dog stamps that I’ve collected so I used a couple to make this card. This is what’s so great about Stampin Up it goes well with stuff in your stash or on its own.
Materials and Directions:
1. Card base- Whisper White 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Fold in half on the 8-1/2 side
2. Layering piece - DSP 3-3/4 x 5-1/4. Glue to the front of the card.
3. Banner- Black cardstock 2 x4-1/4. I used the banner punch to make the banner. I used ribbon I had from my stash to put around the top.
4. Pumpkin punched from orange cardstock. I stamped a dog face in the middle and adhered to the banner using dimensionals. I stamped a greeting I had on the bottom. I then glued this to the card and.

Harvest Hellos/ Memorable Mosaic-BOO

Welcome to my blog.  Another Harvest Hellos project, this time paired with Memorable Mosaic from the Annual catalog.  I also incorporated the sentiment from last years Halloween paper pumpkin.

Materials and Directions:

1. Card base- 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 of Black cardstock folded 4-1/4 on the 8-1/2 side

2. Outside layer- Whisper White 4 x 5-1/4

The ground I water colored with Soft Suede and Granny Apple Green. From Memorable Mosaic I used the tree images. The trunk in soft Suede and the leaves in Granny Apple Green . Stamped the second tree without re inking the stamp.

3. The pumpkin I stamped using the stamp from a Harvest Hellos. I colored using Pumpkin Pie Stampin blends. Then I punched it out using the punch. I adhered using dimensionals. The sentiment Boo came from a retired Paper Pumpkin Kit. 

4. Inside layer- Whisper White 3-3/4x 4-1/2

Tomorrow I’ll share more using Harvest Hellos then move on to another fall set. I just keep thinking of ways to use this set.

Harvest Hellos fun fold

Welcome to my blog. This is another card using this bundle from the Holiday catalog. I’ve been having fun with this bundle.This time I made a fun fold card. I have not gotten the new Come to Gather DSP yet( I’m undecided. It’s beautiful but I have a lot of fall paper) so I used some retired Stampin Up DSP from last year. This bundle can be used with any fall paper you already have.
Materials and Directions:
1 Card base- Old Olive cardstock 8-1/2 x 11 cut @ 4-1/4 on the 8-1/2 side. Fold this in half then cut 1 inch from the front.
2. DSP. I used retired from last year cut @ 4-1/4 x4 . Glue to the front. Also cut a 1x4 inch for the side. I used the back side of the DSP. Glue to the side.
3. Whisper White- One piece 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 for the inside. I stamped some leaves then glued to the inside.
  Scrap piece of Whisper White to stamp the Pumpkin image. I colored using pumpkin pie Stampin Blends. Punch out adhere to front with Stampin dimensionals.
Scrap piece of Whisper White for the sentiment. I cut out using Nested Stitched Dies and glued to the front.

Harvest Hellos/ New Host Code

Welcome to my blog. To me September is apples, maybe because I’m a retired kindergarten teacher.
The Harvest Hellos Bundle is great for this time of year. Apples for September and Pumpkins for October. The following card is what I made from this bundle. The photos above are samples from the catalog.

Materials and Directions:
1. Card base is Whisper White 5-1/2 x4-1/4
2. Layering piece is a piece of Poppy Parade from theBrights 6x6 DSP collection. It’s cut 3-3/4 x 5. I glued this to the front.
3. The apples I punched from the leftover scraps as well as the leaves.
4. I used a pearlized doilie and glued on the front . I glued the apples on top. I didn’t pop them up because I needed to mail it. But you can.
4. I chose a sentiment from a different stamp set and used Stitched Nested Lables die to cut out.

Grandmas House

Welcome to my blog. It’s been s very hectic week. My old dog has been sick and Tuesday my brother in-law passed away.  Been hard to get back into creating. I know the new Holiday catalog is out and I’ll try to get things going next week. For now here is a couple of cards I made from the stamp set Grandmas House. Tomorrow is grandparents day so I thought it was fitting. This set would also be great for birthdays and holidays for grandma.  This set is found on my website and you can purchase it there.
