Valentine card using Rooted in Nature ,Heartfelt and Special Someone stamp sets

Welcome to my blog. What a busy week! Dr. For me and vet for old dog Earl. He had tests today so hopefully will get the right medicine for him. For today’s card I combined a stamp set from the Annual Catalog with 2 stamp sets from the Mini Catalog.  From the Annual Catalog I used Rooted in Nature. From the Mini Catalog I used the stamp sets Heartfelt and Special Someone. I love how our stamp sets can be used together.
Materials and Directions:
1. Card base- Whisper White 4-1/4 x 5-1/2. For the front of the card base I used the arrow from Heartfelt. I stamped it using Blushing Bride.

2. I stamped the wood shape from Rooted in Nature using Sahara Sand on a scrap of Whisper White. I then fuzzy cut it out. I stamped the raccoon from Special Someone in Soft Suede on a scrap of Whisper White and die cut it out.  I stamped the heart from Heartfelt in Blushing Bride and fuzzy cut out.

3 I adhered the raccoon using dimensionals to the wood shape. I then glued to the front of the card. I used dimensionals to adhere the heart. I stamped the sentiment from Special Someone using Blushing Bride.
I like to combine the different stamp sets to make cards. See what you have that you can put together.

The Gangs all Meer

Welcome to my blog. Finally got a chance to play with the stamp set The Gangs all Meer. I got this set free from the Sale a Bration catalog after ordering $50 from the Mini Catalog. This is a cute set of Meerkats.

Here are the 2 cards I made. The second card I made using the scraps from the first. The DSP is from the Mini Catalog called Birthday Bonanza ( very cute paper).

Welcome to my blog.  My older dog has been having medical issues so I don’t have anything to share tonight  but I have some updates on things that are upcoming.

Birthday in a box using Perennial Essence DSP and Piece of Cake stamp set

Welcome to my blog. Well the dogs and I survived the cold foggy dog show. Despite the weather we had fun. My corgi is improving ( actual qualified in one class) and my border cross was very good as usual. I had a birthday lunch today with friends today and had a great time. For the birthday girls I made them a Birthday in a Box.

Materials and Directions.
1. DSP of your choice I used Perennial Essence DSP( from annual catalog)
   Top piece is 3-1/4 x 3-1/4
   Sides are 3-1/4 x 3/4( need 4 )

2. Box- I used the pizza boxes from the annual catalog( page 172)
3. I used a tag die I had and used the stamp set Piece of Cake for the image I stamped on it( from annual catalog. I tied to the box with ribbon I have.
4. Inside the box I put a brownie pouch from Duncan Size for One brownies and a candle.

Fun Fold using DSP from the Mini Catalog and Sale a Bration

Welcome to my blog. How is your weekend going. Tomorrow the dogs and I are off  to an agility trial. Should be foggy, cold and fun! This card is another fun fold. I’ve been making quite a few cards using the new DSP and have scraps to use. The DSP in these cards comes from Peaceful Poppies,Birthday Bonanza and Golden Honey ( Sale a Bration catalog).
Materials and Directions:
1. Card base 4-1/4 x 51/2 cardstock. Use color that goes with DSP your using.
    Cut 2” from one side

2. Layering pieces
     Cardstock 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 (color that compliments the DSP )
      DSP 1-1/2 x 5 glue to above cardstock then glue to card

3. Inside Whisper White cardstock 4 x 5-1/4 glue to inside
4. Side strip 1/2 x 5-1/4 adhere

5. I used Whisper White and coordinating piece of colored cardstock and die cut layering ovals.
 The Sentiments I got from Peaceful Moments. Splotches stamp from Peaceful Poppies. I glued and adhered to front(glue one side only so it will open).

Honey Bee and Daisy Lane Thankful Thursday

Welcome to my blog. With the Mini Catalog out we sometimes forget about the Annual Catalog. This card includes product from both plus product from Sale a Bration. I used the stamp sets Honey Bee and Daisy Lane.  I used both Daisy punches(Daisy and Medium).I also used Golden Honey DSP I got from Sale a Bration.
Materials and Directions :
1. Card base- Daffodil Delight cardstock 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
2.Layering pieces.
    DSP- I used Golden Honey DSP cut 4 x 5-1/4
     Whisper White- 3 x 5 on this piece I stamped the stem in Granny Apple Green
3. Flowers- from Daffodil Delight cardstock I punched one of each size flowers. I then distressed the edges using Crushed Curry ink. I glued the small on top of the bigger and adhered to the stem.
4. I glued the DSP layer to the front of the card base and then glued the White layer on top.
5. Bee- I stamped the bee on Whisper White cardstock and then die cut it out. I colored the wings using light Seaside Spray Stampin blend. For the body I used Dark Daffodil Delight. I then adhered to flower using mini dimensionals.
6. The sentiment is from Honey Bee stamp set.

Here are a couple other cards I made using Stampin Up DSP and my dog stamps.

I used scraps of DSP from Peaceful Poppies and Birthday Bonanza.  Stampin has great products you can use with what you have. Check the catalogs out. The papers are high quality and beautiful. I love Stampin Up but also other products I have. I love using them together.

Quick cards using DSP from the Mini Catalog and Sale A Bration

Welcome to my blog. Hope you had a great weekend. Did you get some crafting done? I have several birthdays coming up and needed more cards. I decided to make some Quick Cards using DSP from the Mini Catalog and Sale A Bration catalogs. For those new to card making DSP refers to Designer Series Paper. This paper has images on both sides. Sometimes it’s hard to choose the side you want to use for the card front layer but with this card technique you can see both sides.
Materials and Directions:
Card base- choose a color of cardstock you want to use for your card base. From an 8-12 x11 piece cut 5-1/4 x5- 1/2( you can get 2 ). Then score @ 1 inch on the 5-1/4 inch side.

Card front- DSP cut at 5-1/4 x4 adhere to the card base

Side strip- DSP 3/4 x5-1/4 glue to side strip of cardbase

Inside- Whisper White 3-3/4 x 5 adhere

Lables I used the dies from Painted Poppies bundle to make the labels
Sentiments are from the Peaceful Moments bundle.

Honey Bee fun fold card

Welcome to my blog. Hope your having a great weekend. No dog shows this weekend so I played in the craft room and came up with this card.  I like making different styles of cards. This fun fold card will fit in an A2 envelope.
Materials and Directions:
1. I used Daffodil Delight here’s how I cut and scored.

2. Here is the rest of the paper I used and the measurements for cutting.

3. Glue card base to the black cardstock

4. Glue DSP to the sides

5. I cut out a circle in Whisper White using a 3 inch circle die . Using Terra-cotta Tile ink I stamped a beehive. I stamped off first so it wouldn’t be so dark. I cut it out using the die from the bundle. I then stamped the sentiment. The bees I stamped on Whisper White then colored using the Stampin Blends Light Seaside Spray(wings) and dark Daffodil Delight ( stripes on body).
Then put them on the circle glued the smaller and used dimensionals for the other. I put glue on the back of one side of the circle and glued to the front. I used the Whisper White layer in side the card.

Painted Poppies Thankful Thursday simple card/ Paper Pumpkin

Welcome to my blog. Yes another card using Painted Poppies. Today I worked on Thank Your cards.

Material and Directions:
1. Blushing Bride cardstock 5-1/4 x 4-1/4
2. Layering piece- Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4. On this piece I stamped the image. Full strength in front and the back flowers I stamped off once before stamping to get it lighter. Flowers colored using Poppy Parade Stampin blend. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set using Rococo Rose stamp pad.
3. I adhered the layer to the card base.
4. Inside I used a piece of White White 3-3/4 x 5. I stamped a flower in the corner and colored.

Honey Bee Bundle

Welcome to my blog. Today I’m sharing a card I made using the Honey Bee bundle from the new Mini Catalog. Cute stamp set with nice sentiments.This is a simple card that uses the stamps and dies.
Materials and Directions:
1. Card base is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 using Blushing Bride cardstock
2. The layering piece is a 3x 5-1/2 piece of Best Dressed DSP. If you don’t have this you can use one of your choice or buy on my website.
3. I cut an oval out of Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the image.

This is how I lined stamps on oval.

Distressed  the edges in Rococo Rose. I colored the flower using Rococo Rose Stampin blend marker. I adhered using dimensionals.
4. I stamped and die cut the bee out of a Whisper White scrap. I colored the wings using Seaside Spray Stampin Blend marker. I colored the body using Daffodils Delight Stampin Blend marker.
 I adhered to card as shown. I stamped the sentiment as shown.
5. Inside of card is a piece of Whisper White cardstock 3-3/4 x 5. I stamped the smaller Bee in the corner.
