Geared up Garage one sheet wonder guy cards

Welcome to my blog. We’ve been going through a heat wave here. How’s the weather in your area?
Father’s Day is coming up so I thought I’d share a few cards using Geared Up Garage and the Garage Gears Dies. I used the retired 6 x 6 DSP that went with this.
To make the cards I used a 6 x 6 one sheet wonder template from Karen Titus.
I cut 2 sheets of DSP at the same time to make the 4 cards.
Materials and Directions
Card 1(top left)
- card base is a 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 piece os Whisper White cardstock folded in half.
- layer using 3 of the strips glued as in the photo
- sentiment is from Geared Up Garage stamped in the corner.
This card could be used for Father’s Day or birthday.
Card 2 ( top right)
- card base is a 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 piece of Basic Gray cardstock folded in half.
- I made the layer by cutting the the 3 x 5-1/4 piece in half at an angle. Then I adhered to the front.
- I stamped the car on a piece of Whisper White and then die cut out. I adhered to the front . I used Wink of Stella to make it shine.
- inside I adhered a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White. I will stamp a sentiment here.
From cutting the DSP there are extra strips that I used on the inside of the cards.

Fathers Day card using Geared Up Garage stamp set and new Incolors

Welcome to my blog. Finally my pre order has arrived and I can start using some of the new products. Fathers Day is around the corner so I thought I’d start with Fathers Day cards. Geared up Garage and dies are returning in the new catalog and is a nice set for guy cards. I paired this with 6 x 6 in color DSP and in color cardstock.
Materials and materials:
- card base Whisper White 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
- layering pieces:
Cardstock 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Bumble Bee . Cut diagonally.
In color 6 x 6 DSP Misty Moonlight 4 x 5-1/4 cut diagonally. Glue this to the Bumble Bee card stock.
Then adhere to card front
- Sentiment is from Geared Up Garage. I stamped it on a piece of Bumble Bee cardstock and fussy cut it out. I used the matching die from the set and cut out a layering piece from Misty Moonlight. I glued the sentiment on top of this. I then adhered to the card. From silver foil I cut out the gears and adhered to the card.

Welcome to my blog. To a Wild Rose is a versatile bundle. If you buy now you save 10% on the bundle. In the upcoming catalog the stamp set and dies will be available but you will have to purchase separately. You can make simple cards using the stamps only or more complex cards incorporating both stamps and dies. Here are a couple of cards I made using this set.
Card 1

- Start with a 5-1/2 x4-1/4 card base . I used Night of Navy cardstock.
- Layering piece of Whisper White 4 x 5-1/4. I stamped the front with the leaf stamp in Pear Pizzazz. Glue to The card base.
- Flowers I stamped on Whisper White using Night of Navy. I colored the flowers using Light and a Dark Balmy Blue Stampin Blends. I then die cut them out.
- Lattice I used the die from the bundle. I cut it out in Nigh of Navy.
- I glued the blue lattice to the layering piece( as in the photo). I then adhered the flowers as shown.
- sentiment was stamped using Night of Navy
- inside layer is a piece of Whisper White 3-3/4 x 5

Card 2

For this card I used a technique from Jennifer McGuire called Split Card. This gives you 2 card bases. You can find the directions on you tube. The video is clearer than I can explain. Guess I should get brave and make videos. Just not there yet. These are fun cards to make. The colors I used for the 2 step flowers are Rococo Rose and Rich Razzle Berry

Daisy Lane joy fold card

Welcome to my blog. Today’s focus is another bundle that won’t be available in the new catalog. The stamp set and punch will have to be purchased separately in the new catalog. As a bundle you save 10%.
A Joy Fold card is like a card within a card. They’re fun and simple to make.
Materials and Directions
1. For card base cut cardstock( I used Sahara Sand) @4-1/4 x 8-1/2 . Score @ 5-1/2
    For the inner card cut cardstock( I used Sahara Sand) @ 3 x 8 . Score @ 4
2. For the cardbase layers you’ll need a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Whisper White and 2-3/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White. I used the leaf stamp from the set and Pear Pizzazz ink to make my own layering piece ( you could use DSP also). I then adhered the pieces to the card base.
3. Inner card layers  you will need to cut 2 pieces of DSP @ 2-3/4 x 3-3/4. On one piece I stamped the small Daisy in Rococo Rose. On the other piece I stamped the sentiment. I then glued them to the Inner card piece of cardstock. I glued this inside the card base. Make sure you glue it as in the photo.
4. On scrap Whisper White I stamped 2 large daisies and 1 small. I then punched them out using the Daisy punches. The medium punch comes in the bundle the other you have to buy separately.  I then glued them on top of each other and then using dimensionals adhered to the card. You could just use the medium Daisy and punch out 3. I used a Faceted Gem ( retiring)for the center.

Abstract Impressions / Springtime Impression dies

Welcome to my blog. Time to say goodbye to Abstract Impressions and Springtime Impression dies. This is a set I will use even after its retirement. I like how you can make simple but beautiful cards with it.
Card 1 Materials and Directons.
1. Start with a 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 Highland Heather card base.
2. I layered using the new Ornate Layer Dies. I die cut the rectangle then stamped and colored the image from the Abstract Impressions stamp set. I used Highland Heather for the flowers and Pear Pizzaz for the leaves. I also went around the edges of the rectangle in Highland Heather using a blending tool. I then glued this to the card front.

Card 2. Materials and Directions
1. Start with a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Blushing Bride Card base
2. Using the Springtime Impression die I die cut out of Whisper White cardstock. I then colored using my blending tool in various shades.
3. Whisper White cardstock 4 x 5-1/4 for layering piece.  Glue die cut to this as shown in the photo. Stamp sentiment to right corner. Then glue this layering piece to card front.

These are two simple cards I think you will enjoy making. You can use different colors.if you don’t have a rectangle die you can cut one using your trimmer. Both these cards would be great Mother’s Day cards.
