Card using North Pole Mischief

Welcome to my blog. Been awhile since I last posted. Had a busy August getting ready for upcoming craft fairs. Sale-A Bration is over and I hope you were able to get some great products before it ended.

Even though Sale A Bration is over the Mini Catalog is live till December 22. Lots of cute Christmas stamps like the one I used for the above card. North Pole Mischief is appealing to both cat and dog lovers.

Materials and Directions :
- I used white cardstock for the card base 4-1/4x 5-1/2. To make the card base take an 8-1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock and cut at 5-1/2 on the 11 side. Then fold in half.
- The red Polk a dot layer came from Sweet Christmas DSP. It’s cut at 4 x 5-1/4. I adhered this to the card front.
- The next layer is white cardstock that I cut using a die from my stash. I stamped and colored the image then adhered on top of the red. I used Adhesive backed Seasonl Sequins in the 4 corners.

I also got a new puppy.

- I used white cardstock I cut from another die in my stash. I stamped the corgi image on it. I then colored it using blends. I then adhered to the card front as in the photo.

Raccoon card using Stampin Up Wild and Sweet stamp set

Welcome to my blog. Another card from the Wild and Sweet stamp set this time using the raccoon image.

Materials and Directions

- I used Early Espresso cardstock for the 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 card base. To make the card base take the 8-1/2 x 11 cardstock and cut @ 5-1/2 on the 11 inch side. This gives you 2 card bases.

- I cut a piece of white cardstock and a piece of the Sun Print DSP @ 4x 5-1/4  for the layering pieces.

The white piece I used a blending brush and blue ink to color the back ground. To do this I first stamped the raccoon image. I made a mask of the raccoon and placed over the image before applying the blue ink. For the DSP I used the large layering diorama to cut out the center. I then adhered this to the white  cardstock and then adhered the whole thing to the card front.

Guy card using He’s The Man DSP

With Father’s Day coming up I wanted to make more masculine type cards. I used He’s the Man DSP to make this simple card. I did not put a sentiment inside that way I could use it for the occasion I needed it for.

Materials and Directions:

- The card base is very vanilla cardstock. It is A2 in size(5-1/2 x 4-1/4)

- I used a piece of the DSP 4 x 5-1/4. I cut off 2 inches ( you can cut as much as you want ). I flipped on piece over then glued to the card front as in the picture. I cut I strip of gold metallic paper to cover the seam( 1/4 x 4).I then used a one of the cut outs from the DSP and attached using dimensionals.

Card using Easter Friends stamp set

Welcome to my blog. This Easter Friends stamp set is versatile. Can be used for Easter, Baby cards, Spring etc.

Materials and Directions

- Card base is white cardstock 5-1/2 x 8-1/2. Fold in half on the 8-1/2 inch side to get a card 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
- The layer is a retired piece of DSP 4 x 5-1/4. I then used one of my layering oval dies to cut an oval in the center of the DSP.
- Before adhering to the card base I placed the DSP on the front of the card base and then stamped the bunny using Cinnamon Cider ink( unfortunately now retired). I then adhered the DSP to the front.
- To make the oval overlay I used the original layering oval and one bigger. I put the smaller inside the other taping them together. Make sure there is equal space between them. I then used Pumpkin Pie card stock and cut it out. I then glued this piece around the oval on the front. I place a flower from my stash in the corner.

Here is a card I made using the chick from the stamp set. For this card I used the oval piece left over from the first card and layered a smaller white oval with the chick on top
. I had stamped and water colored the chick on the white oval  before adhering. The butterfly is left over from another project and the layering piece is from my stash.

Fun cards using New Horizons DSP(from mini catalog) and Daffodil Afternoon DSP (from sal a Bration)

Welcome to my blog. Here are a couple of more cards you can make using your DSP. I got this idea from Karen Titus (stamping on the back porch). This a good way to use your 6 x 6 papers. From your 12x 12 you can make 4 cards. Works especially well with scenery paper.

Materials and Directions:

.- The card base is 4 -1/4 x 5-1/4 of cardstock. I used white.
- Take your 6x6 piece of paper and cut as in photo ( from Karen Titus).

When your finished you will have 4 pieces you will use to make the card front.

- Adhere to the card front as seen in the photo.

You can stop here and the card looks great. But I used the deer from retired SnowFront stamp set and the birds from Light House 2 stamp from the Stamps of Life. I like how the look on the card.
- For the card on the right I used a layering piece. This piece is 4 x 5-1/4. The DSP is then cut 1/4 inch less. This is the measurement from Karen Titus.

Adhere DSP to the layering piece and they adhere to the card base.

You can order the Stampin Up products from my website.
