Simple Panel Card/faux layering with Happiness Blooms DSP

If your like me you end up with lots of DSP scraps. These are great for making Panel Cards. For this card I used scraps of Happiness Blooms DSP. If your just getting started and don’t have scraps. Use DSP you have. The faux layering was also made from scraps I had.
Materials:
-Card base - Flirty Flamingo cut on the 11 inch side @ 5 1/2 ( you will have 2 card bases)
-DSP Panel cut 2 x 5 1/2. I used Happiness Blooms from the Occasions catalog.
-faux layering pieces from shaded Spruce cardstock . Cut 2 pieces 1/4 inch x 5 1/2
-stamp set Best Birds from the Annual catalog for the sentiment.
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 3/4 x 5 for inside the card.
Directions :
1. Make your card base by folding the Flirty Flamingo in half
2.Glue the DSP panel to the front of the card base as shown in the picture.
3.Using the faux layering pieces of Shaded Spruce glue one above the panel and one below the panel.  This will looked like the panel has been layered on top of a piece of cardstock.
4.  Stamp the sentiment in the lower right of the card front.
5. Glue the Whisper White cardstock inside the card
The card below I made the same way but changed:
DSP- reverse side of piece used in other card
Cardstock base- Pineapple Punch
Faux layering- Night of Navy
Sentiment- different one from Best Bird

Happiness Blooms/updates

 What a wet cold windy weekend at the agility trial this past weekend. Despite this we had a fun time.
Hope your weekend was a good one too. Because of this I didn’t get any crafting done.

Happiness Blooms DSP is beautiful bright paper that can be paired with any sentiments you have. If you have Oh So Eclectic stamp set from the Annual catalog use it with this paper as I did below. They work Well together.

Fun Friday

Happy Friday and weekend. Been getting ready for 2 days of agility with my kids Luzy and Dottie.
Took some time to make the above card using the new Painted Seasons DSP. Really liking it. Going to have to get more before it’s gone. The card base is Grapefruit Grove cardstock. I used a die I had to make the flip card base and a fox stamp set ( I got both from the stamps of life). I stamped the fox on water color paper using Stazon ink. I water colored the fox using water color pencils.
 For those of you new to stamping there are 2 kinds of black ink used for stamping the images. It all depends on how your going to color the image on which to use:

Hello Cupcake/All My Love DSP

Happy Valentines Day. I made the above card using All My Love DSP from the Occasions catalog and the Hello Cupcake stamp set I got free with my 50$ order. This stamp set is fun and can be used for any occasion.
Materials/Directions
1. Card base made from 4 1/4x 5 1/2 piece of Whisper White
2. 4 x 5 1/4 inch of All My Love DSP for layering piece. Glue on front of card base.
3. Whisper White cardstock rectangular layering piece. On this piece stamp the image using Hello Cupcake stamp set. I used Soft Suede for the Cupcake holder and Berry Burst for the frosting. I stamped the sentiment using Soft Suede. Glue the piece on top of the DSP.

Hedgehugs/Painted Seasons and Updates

When I saw the Painted Seasons paper with the mushrooms on it I visualized it with the hedgehog stamp set. The above photo is another gatefold card. I put the hedgehog in the middle.
Materials/Directions
-Hedgehugs stamp set from annual catalog.
-Grapefruit Grove cardstock for base . Scored the same as yesterday’s post.
-Painted Seasons DSP with the mushrooms. 2 pieces cut at 1 3/4 x 5 1/4. Glue to the front sides.
-Scrap of wood texture DSP cut. Scrap of very vanilla cardstock. I used circle Framelits to cut them out. The wood texture the bigger of the two.
-Stamp hedgehog using thesoft Suede Stampin pad on the Very Vanilla cardstoc circle.Glue this on top of the other circle. Adhere this to the card by putting glue on one side only so the card can open.
-For the inside I used a piece of Very Vanilla 4x 5 1/4 and stamped leaves in the corner using grapefruit Grove ink.
-You can put any sentiment you want. On the front like I did using the classic label punch or the inside. This card could be used for any occasion.
 This next card I made with the scraps. I used a mossy meadow card base. The strips outside are 1 3/4 x4. Inside I used Very Vanilla at 3 3/4 x5.

Painted Seasons simple gatefold card

Had a great time at the craft fair yesterday. Today I got a chance to try out the new Painted Seasons bundle that will be available to order Friday. Also used the new Story Label punch that will also be available.

The paper is gorgeous. This card showcases the paper. It was hard to choose but these flowers were hard to resist.
Materials:
Grapefruit Grove cardstock 81/2 x 51/2
Grapefruit Grove Stampin pad
Painted season DSP 3 3/4 x 1 3/8 cut 3 at this size
White cardstock 4 x 1 5/8 cut 3 at this size
White cardstock 5 1/4 x 4 for the inside
Story Label Punch

Directions:
1. Score the Grapefruit Grove cardstock at 2 1/8 on both sides then fold

2. Glue the white cardstock on the inside
3. Glue the pieces of DSP onto the white pieces
4. Glue 2 of the pieces on the top and bottom of one side. Then glue the 3rd in the middle on the other side.

5. Punch out a label then stamp a sentiment on it. Glue to the middle piece.
6. On the inside white piece I stamped the flower from the Painted Seasons stamp set in Grapefruit Grove.
