Geared up Garage gift card holder

Welcome to my blog. We’ve been having some wild weather for this time of the year. I live in the Central Valley in Stevinson Ca. We usually don’t have this winter weather this time of year. Perfect time for crafting.
I have made these gift card holders before for Christmas but I needed some guy cards for Father’s Day, Birthdays and graduations. Geared Up Garage is perfect for these. Geared up Garage is returning in the new catalog as well as the Framelits. If you buy them now in a bundle you save 10%. They won’t be bundled in the new catalog. I also used Classic Garage DSP. The DSP is retiring so if you like it you need to get by June 2nd.

Materials and Directions:
1. Card base 41/4 x 11 cardstock scored at 51/2 and 91/2

2. Inside - Whisper White cardstock 51/4 x 4. DSP 2x4 glue to the white as in photo. DSP 3 3/4 x1 1/2 glue to pocket as in photo. I made the notch using a circle punch. Using tear and tape adhere the pocket.
3. Front- DSP 3 3/4 x4. Glue to the front. I used a piece of  1/2 x 3 3/4 Mint Macron cardstock for the band across the front. I used a piece of Whisper White to stamp the sentiment and glued to the band.

1. Cardstock Lemon Lime Twist( also retiring) 81/2 x11 cut on the 81/2 side at 41/4. This gives you 2 card bases.

2. The DSP is Wood Textures(also retiring) cut at 3 3/4 x5. I stamped and colored the image with Stampin Blends I have. You can use markers you have.  I then glued to front of the card base.
3. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of the Wood Texture DSP then used the Story Label Punch to cut it out. I used dimensionals to adhere to the front.
4. I used a piece of Whisper White cut at 3 3/4 x 5 for the inside. I stamped butterflies in the corner.
You can order these products or any of the other retiring products on my website.

Hello and thank you for stopping by.

Retired and Returning (R&R) Geared Up Garage

Hello and thank you for visiting my website.
There will be many changes with the new catalog in June. Some things returning and some retiring. Thought I would highlight some.

Returning is Geared Up Garage and dies.Retiring is the Classic Garage DSP.
You’re A Classic Materials and Directions:
1. Card base is Whisper White cardstock 51/2 x 81/2 scored at 41/4. To make the background on the front I used the stamp from Geared Up Garage inked with Grey Granite Stampin Pad.
2. I used a 2 x 51/2 inch piece of the Classic Garage DSP for a layering piece.
3. I stamped the car image on a scrap of Whisper White using Grey Granite ink. If you have the dies
you can cut it out with this or fuzzy cut. I used Dimensionals to adhere to the front.
4. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Happy Fathers Day Materials and Directions:
1. Card base is Whisper White cardstock 51/2 x 81/2 scored at 41/4.
2. I used a piece of Classic Garage DSP 51/4 x4 for the first red layer. (This is a backsides of one of  one of the DSP pieces). Glue to the front.
3. The second layer is a piece of Classic Garage DSP 5 x 3 3/4. Glue on top of first layer.
4. On a scrap piece of Whisper White I stamped the image using Grey Granite ink. Again if you have the die die cut out. If not fuzzy cut. I used dimensionals to adhere to the front.

Scrap card. This last card I made using scraps from the others. The card base is 51/2 x41/4. I cut the scraps  of DSP  2 x 4 1/4. I glued these to the front.  I still need to decide on a sentiment to use.

These cards can be made easily and you don’t have to be an expert card maker to make them. If your wanting to make masculine cards this is the set for you.

The stamps and dies will be available in the new catalog but they will not have the bundle price. You save 10% by getting them now. The Classic Garage DSP will not be available in the new catalog. If you want it get it now before it’s gone.

Farewell Tour Petal Palette

Petal Palette is a versatile stamp set . It can be used on its own or with the coordinating Petals & more thinlits dies.
This set will also be great to use with the new Bird DSP coming out in June in the new catalog.
This first card is a sample of simple stamping.
1. The card base is Mossy Meadow card stock. I cut the 81/2 x11 piece at 51/2 on the 11 inch side. This gives you 2 card bases. Fold them in 1/2.
2. I used a piece of Floral Romance DSP ( also retiring) cut 5/14 x 4. I glued a piece of ribbon to this then I glued this on the card front.
3. Rectangle scrap of Whisper White. I attached this to the front with dimensionals.
4. From a piece of Whisper White I die cut a rectangle using the Stitched rectangle Framelits. I stamped the image then colored using blender pens( you can use what you have). I then attached to the top of the other rectangle.
Inside you can put your sentiment. Birthday, wedding, congratulations thank you etc.
This next card I stepped up using some printed vellum.
1. The card base is Whisper White cardstock. I cut the card stock as I did in the first card.
2. I used a piece of Floral Romance DSP cut at 51/4 x4. This DSP also has printed vellum. I cut a piece 3 3/4 x 5. I glued this to the other DSP. I then cut a piece of ribbon and glued this around. Then I glued this to the front of the card.
3. From a scrap piece of Whisper White I die cut an oval. From another scrap I stamped the bird then die cut using the thinlits. I colored using blends. From scrap of green I die cut the branch. I glued the branch to the oval, then with dimensionals I put the bird on the branch. I then used dimensionals to attached the oval to the card front.
This last card I made incorporating the retiring Coffee Cafe stamp and thinlits. I used another piece of the Floral Romance printed vellum for the layering piece.
If you are interested in ordering go to my website. The button on the right that says order here.
