Abstract Impressions / Springtime Impression dies

Welcome to my blog. Time to say goodbye to Abstract Impressions and Springtime Impression dies. This is a set I will use even after its retirement. I like how you can make simple but beautiful cards with it.
Card 1 Materials and Directons.
1. Start with a 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 Highland Heather card base.
2. I layered using the new Ornate Layer Dies. I die cut the rectangle then stamped and colored the image from the Abstract Impressions stamp set. I used Highland Heather for the flowers and Pear Pizzaz for the leaves. I also went around the edges of the rectangle in Highland Heather using a blending tool. I then glued this to the card front.

Card 2. Materials and Directions
1. Start with a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Blushing Bride Card base
2. Using the Springtime Impression die I die cut out of Whisper White cardstock. I then colored using my blending tool in various shades.
3. Whisper White cardstock 4 x 5-1/4 for layering piece.  Glue die cut to this as shown in the photo. Stamp sentiment to right corner. Then glue this layering piece to card front.

These are two simple cards I think you will enjoy making. You can use different colors.if you don’t have a rectangle die you can cut one using your trimmer. Both these cards would be great Mother’s Day cards.

Piece of Cake Gift Card Holder

Welcome to my blog. Piece of Cake is a versatile stamp set that also has punch that can be used with it. Both are retiring in June. This set can be used for any occasion.
Here I have used it to make a gift card holder for an upcoming birthday.
Materials and Directions:
1. Start with a Whisper White card base 4-1/4 x 5-1/2. I made this by cutting a 8-1/2 x 11 inch cardstock at 4-1/4 on the 8-1/2 side. This will get you 2 card bases.

I then took that 4-1/4 x 11 piece and scored at 5-1/2 & 2- 1/2
2. Fold the 2-1/2 side and notch with circle punch as in the photo.
I then used score tape on the side and glued the pocket down.

3. Layering pieces. DSP cut at 2-1/4 x 4 & 2x 4 I glued them as shown in the photos.

4. I stamped the cake image and sentiment on Whisper White oval and colored. I glued this to the top of a scalloped oval layer of Highland Heather cardstock. I then glued half to the front.
5. I stamped the sentiment inside and put a scrap of DSP on the side.

Paper Pumpkin

Welcome to my blog. Paper Pumpkin is becoming so popular that the following  kit has sold out.
Therefore you won’t be able to subscribe until May 11 for the June kit.
Paper Pumpkin kits are fun and can be used by the whole family. You can make cards for the people you can’t visit at this time. Could also be used for homeschooling art projects. When you finish the projects you have stamp sets and ink you can use to make other cards.
I worked on the March kit over the weekend. My April kit has not come yet. Here are the cards I made.
The next 2 cards I used the cat and dog punch to make alternates.
Let me know if your interested in Paper Pumpkin and I’ll show you how to order (US only).

Ornate Gardens with Happy Tails and Nine Lives

Welcome to my blog. Coming up Wednesday Stampin Up will post the retiring list for the Annual Catalog and Mini Catalog. I’m hoping these 2 sets are not retiring. They are very versatile and make great cards. I used them with the upcoming set Ornate gardens to make these 2 cards.
Materials and Directions for both
1. Card base- cut a 8-1/2 x11 @ 4-1/4 this will give you the 2 card bases you’ll need.
2. Layers- for the base layer I cut a piece of Ornate Garden DSP @4 x 5-1/4 I glued to the front of the card.
For the next layer I used the ornate dies to make the frame using Crumb Cake cardstock. If you don’t have the die you can use a rectangle die you have or cut one out. I used Ornate Garden ribbon and threaded it through this layer.
3. I used the coordinating dog and cat punches to punch out the images from Ornate Garden DSP. Then I used my blend to color. I used dimensionals to adhere to the layer frame. I then attached to the card.

These are 2 more cards I made using the Happy Tails and Nine Lives stamp sets.
If you have been wanting the stamps and punches you can purchase them from my website. You may also want to check on the retiring product on Wednesday. If there is anything you want on the list you need to order before they’re gone. I will post the list when I get it. Remember when you order use the Host Code 76R7GTXN for orders less than $150. Also I’ll be ordering catalogs April 25. If you live in US and have ordered from me let me know if you want one.
