Fathers Day Gift Card Holder using Rooted In Nature/ Updates

Welcome to my blog. Father’s Day is this Sunday. Here is one last project you can use for Father’s Day or any occasion. It’s a simple gift card holder.
Materials and Directions
1. Start with a piece of Bumble Bee card stock cut at 4-1/4 x 11 inches. Score @5-1/2 & 9 inches.

2. With a circle punch I notched the pocket as in the photo.

3. Outside layer I used In Good Taste DSP cut@ 3-1/4 x 4. I used the same DSP to cover the pocket cut @1-1/2x 4. Inside layer is a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut @3/4 x 4. I then adhered these layers to the card. Then using tear and tape on 2 sides I glued the pocket side down.

4. The images came from Rooted in Nature stamp set. For the tree slab I used Soft Suede ink . I stamped off once before stamping on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. The sentiment I stamped using Early Espresso. I then fuzzy cut out . The leaves I stamped on Old Olive using Memento ink and then used the matching die from the Matching Roots dies. I then adhered to the card as in the photo.
5. On the inside layer you can stamp a sentiment that you want. I haven’t decided if I’m going to use for Fathers Day or an upcoming birthday.

Updates

Waterfront Rooted in Nature and In GoodTaste DSP Fathers Day Card

Welcome to my blog. My order has finally shipped! Can’t wait to play with new products. While waiting I’ve started making Fathers Day cards using what I have. I chose Waterfront ,Rooted In Nature stamps, Nature Roots dies and In Good Taste DSP. Waterfront and Rooted in Nature stamps are returning favorites of mine. Very versatile set for many occasions. In Good Taste DSP is new and I love this paper.
Materials and Directions
1. Start with a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock cut @ 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 . Fold this in half.
2. 2 pieces of In Good Taste DSP cut @ 5-1/4 x4 inches.
 Glue one on the inside.
Tape the other on the front as in the photo.

Then I used the largest Stitched Nested Label die and placed on the front layer as in the photo. Then I die cut it out. Then I glued the layering piece of DSP on the front.
3. On a piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the images from the Waterfront stamp set using Stampin stamp pads I have. I then glued this to the inside. Using scraps of Whisper White I stamped the trees from Rooted In Nature , die cut them out with the corresponding dies then glued to the front.
The sentiment is one I had and used circle punch to cut out.

Ornate Garden Stand Up Card

Welcome to my blog. Little by little new stuff is coming. We have to be patient it will get here eventually. Gives me more time to clean my scrap room. This fun fold I got from you tube by Janie Craft Princess. This is one of 5 fun folds.
Materials and Directions
1. Start with a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock cut to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 .
2. Fold in 1/2 . Then fold one side in 1/2 . This is similar to a Z fold card, just folded differently.
3. Layers with Ornate Garden DSP. Cut 2 @1/2 x 5-1/4 inches. Cut 1@ 2x 5-1/4. Glue to card base as in photo.

4. Image is from Ornate Style stamp set. I stamped it on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. I then colored using the Stampin blends I have. I then fuzzy cut it out and adhered as in the photo.
The sentiment is from another stamp set because I needed a Birthday card. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock and punched out using the Classic Label punch.

Lovely You Bundle with In Good Taste DSP

Welcome to my blog. Well Luzy
is going to have to wait for her favorite stamp set Playful Pets because it is on back order till June 15th. My bad. If there is something you want to use soon don’t wait too long or you’ll be in the same boat as Luzy.
The above card I made using the Lovely You Bundle and the In Good Taste DSP. The Lovely You bundle comes with the stamp set and Lovely Label  pick a punch. The In Good Taste DSP is part of the In Good Taste Suit. I only bought the DSP. The rest didn’t appeal to me but might for you. Check it out. That’s what’s great about Stampin Up you can buy pieces you want and use them your way. Often I use with other vendor products.
Materials and Directions:
1. Begin with a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock. Cut to 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 inches. Score at 4-1/4 on the 8-1/2 inc side. This is your card base.
2. Layering piece. I used a piece from the In Good Taste DSP. Cut at 4 x 5-14. Adhere to the card front.
3. Banner is made from a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock 5 x 2 inches. I used the Triple Banner punch to make the banner.
3. Using the largest stitched circle die I cut out a circle in Whisper White. I stamped my image from the Lovely You stamp set. I used Pear Pizzazz and Pretty Peacock stampin pads. I then used the large Layering Circle and cut out a circle from the silver foil sheet. I attached the White circle on top and adhered to the card as in the photo.

Shadow Box using Bird Ballad DSP/Pick a free bundle

Welcome to my blog. Tomorrow is the last day you can order from the current catalog. I wanted to share my favorite DSP from this catalog. It is the Bird Ballad DSP(#149589). It is on sale for $8.05 saving you 30%. The above shadow box card I made using a shadow box die from my stash. There are several companies that make this die and you can do a google search to find the one you want.
The following shadow box card I made without using a die.
Materials and Directions
- start with 2 pieces of cardstock 5-1/2 x 4-1/4, score both @ 1/2,1,4-1/2,5 fold on score lines as in the photo.

Cut the center out of one using any die shape you want( do this before you fold on the score lines). If you want to put DSP on the front as I did you need a piece 3-1/4 x 4. Attach loosely ( I used washi tape) then die cut both at the same time. Then adhere the DSP with glue.
- On the other piece adhere a piece of DSP 3-1/4 x 4
- Attach the 2 pieces together with strong glue. I use tare and tape
You can order the paper from my website.
