Simple card using Paper Blooms DSP

 Welcome to my blog.  These cards are fun and can be made using any DSP you have. You can make several from one piece of DSP.

Materials and Directions 

- Card base is White cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 folded in half to make a card base that is 5-1/2 x 4-1/4

- Layer 1 is a piece of cardstock (I used pink) 3-1/4 x 4-1/4.

   Layer 2 is a piece of Paper Blooms DSP 3 x 4. For the one card I cut the layer diagonally.

Glue layer 2 to layer 1. Then glue this piece to the card front.

- I used border dies I had to embellish the front. If you don’t have border dies you can cut a strip of cardstock.

Another Fun Fold using Dragonfly Garden DSP

 Welcome to my blog. I really love this DSP from the new mini catalog. I also used the retired Stampin Up  stamp and die set for the Dragonfly cut out. If you don’t have a dragonfly Stampin Ups Dragonfly Garden Bundle would be great to add to your collection.  You can find it in the new Mini Catalog on page 27. If I didn’t already have a dragonfly set I would have purchased it. 

Materials and Directions 

- For this fun fold you need 2 card bases 4-1/4 x 5-1/2( I used blackberry bliss)

-  2 layers 4 x 5- 1/4 glue to card fronts as in photo.  I used a circle die to cut out circle on front( as in photo)

- Glue the 2 card bases together as in photo. Add inside White cardstock layer 4x 5-1/4. I stamped a Dragonfly 

-I closed the card then glued the dragonfly (that I cut out of glitter paper from my stash ) in the center of the circle. Make sure you can open the card.

Fun Fold using Dandy Garden DSP/ New Host Code

 

Welcome to my blog. This card shows how you can make a card using a 6 x 6 piece of DSP. You use the DSP for scenery. For  the following card I used the Dandy Garden DSP from the new Mini Catalog.

Materials and Directions 

- The card base is a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 1-1/4 x 4-1/4

- The DSP is 6 x 5-1/4. Cut at 2-1/4 , 2-3/4 and 1. A piece of Whisper White 3 x 5-1/4

- Scalloped circle dies. Larger in Mossy Meadow, the smaller Dragonfly DSP.

- Fold Card base. Adhere DSP and the Whisper White. Then add circle using glue on one side only. I then used white ribbon on the left side.

Using card sketches with Flower and Field DSP

Welcome to my blog and Happy New Year. The new Mini Catalog is now live and can be ordered from until June 30th. Also Sale a Bration is going on until February 28th. What’s Sale a Bration? For every $50 or $100 you spend you earn free product from the Sale a Bration catalog. The following card is one I made using Flower and Field DSP I got free from Sale a Bration. I also used a sketch from Paper Play ( sketch 46). I often look at sketch ideas when I need inspiration. Mojo Monday is also another place to get sketches.

Materials and Directions 

- Whisper White card base 4-1/4 x5-1/2

- 1st layer is Cherry Cobbler 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.

-2nd layer is DSP 4 x 5-1/4 adhere to the Cherry Cobbler layer. 

- rectangle layers. One using Cherry Cobbler 3-1/8 x 4-1/2. The second using the reverse side of the DSP 2-7/8 x 4. Adhere the DSP to the cardstock. Then adhere at an angle to the front.After doing this add ribbon as in the photo. You then can glue this to the card base.

- I used the medium Daisy Punch to make the flower. One out of Cherry Cobbler the other using the DSP. I glued them together and adhered to the card.

- sentiment is one I had. I stamped it on a piece of Granny Apple Green as in the photo.

As I stated I made this card using paper from the Sale a Bration catalog. The paper is beautiful.

New Stuff

 Welcome to my blog. Hope you had a Merry Christmas. New Year’s is just around the corner. I finally got my order from the new Mini Catalog today. Hopefully when I get home tomorrow I’ll get time to play with some of the products.

Rectangle Flip it card using Birds and Branches bundle and Flowers for Every Season DSP

 Welcome to my blog. It’s been very foggy lately so I decided I wanted to make a colorful card. I used the Birds and Branches bundle paired with Flowers for Every Season DSP. I have a die from my stash that makes the flip it card base. There are several tutorials on YouTube that show how to make it if you don’t have a die. I started this yesterday but had misplaced my stamp set. I found it this morning. I’m still waiting for my order from the new Mini Catalog. Once it comes I will share projects using the products.

Materials and Directions 

- For the card base I used Bumble Bee cardstock and die cut the card base.

- For the layers I die cut the layers using the the dies I had that went with the die set.

- I die cut the rectangles from layered rectangles. The larger two in Night of Navy cardstock and the two smaller in white. The white layers I stamped the images. I used Soft Suede for the branches, Night of Navy for the birds and Garden Green for the leaves. I used Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends to color the bird. I then adhered the layers and adhered to the card base.
