Raccoon card using Stampin Up Wild and Sweet stamp set

Welcome to my blog. Another card from the Wild and Sweet stamp set this time using the raccoon image.

Materials and Directions

- I used Early Espresso cardstock for the 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 card base. To make the card base take the 8-1/2 x 11 cardstock and cut @ 5-1/2 on the 11 inch side. This gives you 2 card bases.

- I cut a piece of white cardstock and a piece of the Sun Print DSP @ 4x 5-1/4  for the layering pieces.

The white piece I used a blending brush and blue ink to color the back ground. To do this I first stamped the raccoon image. I made a mask of the raccoon and placed over the image before applying the blue ink. For the DSP I used the large layering diorama to cut out the center. I then adhered this to the white  cardstock and then adhered the whole thing to the card front.

Koala card using Stampin Up stamp set Wild and Sweet

Welcome to my blog.  I love this stamp set. It has three stamps a Koala, raccoon and a panda bear. Versatile set. Can be used for any occasion. Todays card uses the Koala image.

Materials and Directions:

- I used Night of Navy card stock. To make the card base I used the rectangle flip it die from Stamps of Life.

- I used Sun Prints DSP for the layers

- I cut 2 rectangles out of white cardstock. On the one I stamped the Koala image. I colored the leaves using Granny Apple Green blender pen and the tree trunk using Light Crumb Cake. I adhered this to the front rectangle flip it as in the photo. I glued the other on the backside for messages.

I like combining products from different companies together to make my cards. Stampin Up has wonderful products that go well with other companies products. Give it a try.

Guy card using He’s The Man DSP

With Father’s Day coming up I wanted to make more masculine type cards. I used He’s the Man DSP to make this simple card. I did not put a sentiment inside that way I could use it for the occasion I needed it for.

Materials and Directions:

- The card base is very vanilla cardstock. It is A2 in size(5-1/2 x 4-1/4)

- I used a piece of the DSP 4 x 5-1/4. I cut off 2 inches ( you can cut as much as you want ). I flipped on piece over then glued to the card front as in the picture. I cut I strip of gold metallic paper to cover the seam( 1/4 x 4).I then used a one of the cut outs from the DSP and attached using dimensionals.

Birthday card using Garden Bird Houses stamp set

Welcome to my blog. Been awhile since I posted. Been busy with some craft fairs and playing with new stamp sets. The bone card uses the Garden Bird Houses stamp set from the new annual Stampin Up catalog.

Materials and Directions:

- The card base is very vanilla card stock. I used a card die from stamps of life to cut it out.

- The layer piece is retired DSP. I cut the layer using the die from the catd die set.

-The next layer is white cardstock that I cut to fit the image from the Garden Bird Houses stamp set. I stamped the images and sentiment then adhered to the card front.

I’m planning on making a note card set using this stamp set. When finished I will post.

Card using Easter Friends stamp set

Welcome to my blog. This Easter Friends stamp set is versatile. Can be used for Easter, Baby cards, Spring etc.

Materials and Directions

- Card base is white cardstock 5-1/2 x 8-1/2. Fold in half on the 8-1/2 inch side to get a card 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
- The layer is a retired piece of DSP 4 x 5-1/4. I then used one of my layering oval dies to cut an oval in the center of the DSP.
- Before adhering to the card base I placed the DSP on the front of the card base and then stamped the bunny using Cinnamon Cider ink( unfortunately now retired). I then adhered the DSP to the front.
- To make the oval overlay I used the original layering oval and one bigger. I put the smaller inside the other taping them together. Make sure there is equal space between them. I then used Pumpkin Pie card stock and cut it out. I then glued this piece around the oval on the front. I place a flower from my stash in the corner.

Here is a card I made using the chick from the stamp set. For this card I used the oval piece left over from the first card and layered a smaller white oval with the chick on top
. I had stamped and water colored the chick on the white oval  before adhering. The butterfly is left over from another project and the layering piece is from my stash.
