Flowers For Every Season Suite simple card/ making card bases

Welcome to my blog. Flowers for Every Season is my next pick in the new Annual catalog. I bought the whole suite but there are many pieces that can stand on its own. The card I’m sharing in this blog is focused on  the DSP in the suite. Before I share this card I thought since we have  a new Annual catalog and Mini catalog coming out in August I would share how to make your card base for beginners out there. There are 2 ways you can cut your paper for card bases.
Option 1:
- Start with 8-1/2 x 11 inch piece of cardstock
- Cut on the 11 inch side at 5-1/2 inches. This gives you 2 card bases.
Option 2:
- Start with 8-1/2 x 11 inch piece of cardstock
- Cut on the 8-1/2 inch side at 4-1/4 inches. This too will give you 2 card bases.

For this card  I made my card base using option 2 and Just Jade cardstock. I layered using 1 6 x 6 of Flowers for Every Season DSP. The first layer is cut 5-1/4 x 3-3/4 . I then adhered to card base. The smaller layer is the other side of the paper cut 3-3/4 x 2-1/4. I adhered as shown in photo. The sentiment came from Peaceful Moments stamp set on a label from my stash.
Everything you need to make this card you can purchase on my website. Remember to use the host code for orders less than $150.
Happy Crafting
