Dandelion Wishes

Happy Thursday. Yesterday was very windy so I decided to get out Dandelion Wishes. This stamp set can be found in the Annual catalog. I like it because it is versatile and can be used with many themes.
Card #1: Get Well

Materials and Directions
1. Balmy Blue cardstock for the card base. This is a top fold card. Cut the cardstock 4 1/4 x11. Fold in 1/2 on the 11 inch side.
2. I used Gingham Gala for a layering piece. Cut at 4 x3 3/4. Glue to card front .
3. I used a piece of Whisper White 3 x 3 3/4 to stamp the image on.
4. Stamped sentiment in the lower right corner. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink for both the sentiment and image.

Card #2: Wedding Card

1. Heather Highland cardstock for the card base. Cut the cardstock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Fold in half on the
8 1/2 inch side.

2. I used Petal Promenade DSP for the layering piece. I cut out one of the frames. Glue to the bottom of the card.
3. I stamped the sentiment from Dandelion Wishes. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp with.
4. I finished off the card using Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon(Whisper White). Tied in knot on the front.
Both of these cards are simple to make. They don’t require a lot of materials. Great for the Beginner Stampers.

Postcard Pals and Updates

Welcome to my blog. Hope everyone had a great weekend and remembered to set your clocks ahead 1 hour.  With all the excitement with the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration we shouldn’t forget the great things we can find in the Annual catalog! One of these is the Postcard Pals stamp set.

I’ve been wanting to play with this set for awhile but like others got excited about the new things available.
I made these simple cards by using this stamp set combined with Happiness Blooms DSP from the Occasions catalog.
Card 1

Materials and Directions
1. Whisper White cardstock for the cardbase. This card base is a topfold. 41/4 x 11 fold in half on 11 inch side.
2. A 4x4 piece of Happiness Blooms DSP. Glue on the front.
3. A square cut from Whisper White cardstock using the large Stitched square Framelits.
4. Stamp image on the square. You can color or leave black and white. I used the Stampin Blend markers I have. Use what you have. Glue square on top of the DSP as shown in the picture.
5. Stamp sentiment on the front.
Card 2

Another simple card made like the other one.  I used Very Vanilla for the cardbase and a 3x3 square of DSP.  The DSP I  glued diagonally on the front and then glued the stamped image as in the picture. I chose a different image and sentiment from the set. Again you can color the image if you wish.

Petal Promenade One Sheet Wonder day 2

Here are some more cards I made from the pieces I cut out yesterday.
Card 3-
- Mango Melody cardstock for the card base.
-From one of the rectangles cut diagonally.  Glue one triangle piece to card base as in the picture. I used a piece of ribbon along the edge of the triangle. This is optional. I also used a Pearlized Doily that can be earned for free with an order of 50$ or more. The circle I made using Wood Texture DSP. I used the label punch to cut out the sentiment that I stamped on scrap piece of Whisper White.

Card 4-
For this card I used the 3 strips of DSP and glued them onto a Petal Pink card base. I used the Story Label Punch ( now available to purchase) for the sentiment.

Card 5-
For this card I took one of the rectangle pieces and cut at 2 inches. I then glued them on the front of a petal pink card base using the reverse side of the 2 inch piece on the bottom. I made 2 cards like this.

Two more cards-

There are endless possibilities just use your imagination. You can find more One Sheet Wonder templates on the internet. I felt this template the easiest to start with.

Simple One Sheet Wonder using Petal Promenade DSP

Hello. Have you heard of One Sheet Wonders before? For those that haven’t it’s a way to make multiple cards from 1 sheet of DSP.  This is done by cutting the paper a certain way. There are many different ways you can do this. The one I’m showing is simple and easy for beginning stampers. One Sheet Wonder cards can be made using 6 inch or 12 inch DSP. For those cards I’ll be showcasing the 12 x12 Petal Promenade DSP. This DSP can be earned free with an order of 50$ or more during Sale-A-Bration.
Directions for cutting the DSP:
1. Cut the 12x12 piece of paper into 3 4 inch pieces.
2. Cut each piece @ 5 1/4 . You will get 2 from each piece with a small piece left. Save this piece as well.

You now can use these pieces to make several cards. Here are some samples:
Card 1-

Card base- Mango Melody
Layering piece- DSP Rectangle glued to front. I applied a piece of ribbon to the DSP before gluing to the card base.
Sentiment- I stamped the sentiment to the label. (This label is also available free during Sale-A-Bration). I then attached it to the card.

Card 2-
Card base-Fun fold that I showed how to make in February 23 blog. I used Highland Heather cardstock.
Layering piece- I took one of the rectangle pieces and cut diagonally. I glued these to the front of the card base.
Sentiment- I cut a label using the new Story Label Punch. I stamped the sentiment on this then glued
to the card. Make sure you only put glue on one side or you will glue your card shut.

Tomorrow I will share more cards I made. If you need / or want anything go to my website to order. Remember Sale-A-Bration ends March 31st. Use Host Code BGAPMXTJ.

Simple stamping fixer upper/Updates

Good evening . Hope you had a great weekend. I went to the Scrapbook Expo this past weekend . Had a fun time with my sister.
Today’s card started out one way but ended differently due to ink malfunction on my part. I love the Painted Seasons stamp set and wanted to make a card with the pine cones. It was going to be a simple card using cardstock and ink. While stamping I goofed up on the left side , tried to fix but it looked worse.
So I ended up using Painted Seasons DSP to fix the card instead of starting over.
Materials/Directions
1. Whisper White cardstock for the card base. Cut 81/2 x 51/2. Fold on the 81/2 inch side at 41/2.
Use Soft Suede Stampin pad to stamp pine cones on the card front. I didn’t want a dark color so I stamped off once before stamping on the front. Then stamp leaves with Mossy  Meadow ink.
2. Painted Seasons DSP cut at 3/4 x 51/2. I glued this piece on the left side to hide my mistake. I think it helps the card pop.
If you think it through there always seems to be a way to fix mistakes . You might even like the card more.
Updates:
New freebies have been added. You only have till the end of the month to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration.
You can order what you need from my website. Don’t forget to use the host code BGAPMXTJ for orders less than 150$.

Happy Friday. It’s the 1st of March and Stampin Up has added to Sale-A-Bration freebies. Painted Seasons DSP is one of them. Love this DSP. Great paper for all seasons. The above card showcases this paper along with the cordinating stamp and dies.

2. I used the cactus paper from the Painted Seasons DSP. Cut @ 4x 5 1/4 inches. I cut this piece at 2 inches. Then glued the larger cactus piece on the front top. Glued the reverse of this on the bottom .
3. On scrap piece of Whisper White I stamped 4 cactus. 2 stamped in Tranquil Tide and 2in Bermuda Bay. I then used the matching die to cut them out. Then glued on the front as in the picture.
4. I used the sentiment from Flowering Desert to stamp on the front.
